FRUIT FLY TRAPS

Tired of those darned, tiny fruit flies hovering around your kitchen, fresh fruit and even your bird's bowls? So were we.....that's why we were THRILLED to find there were traps to get rid of the little suckers!
    

To educate you a little on the little pests, the adult flies are attracted to ripe or overripe fruit & lay their eggs on or near them (yuck!) New flies can emerge every 8-10 days in the summer...that's why you seem to never be able to rid yourself of them.
These traps work without the use of toxic chemicals. the trap uses a color to attract the flies to a very sticky glue, where they are trapped & killed. Adding "bait" to the trap (such as beer, fresh-cut fruit or veggies, especially tomato or banana) will attract more flies faster.
Of course, NEVER use it in a location that your bird has access to, but if you're having problems in the cage, set a trap somewhere NEAR the cage (perhaps below it if the bird can't access that area).
