The Medium Version of Our Best Selling Chunky Chew!

If the Chunky Chew - Large is just a bit much for your feathered friend, try this medium version. Richly hued wood shapes drift down from a welded stainless steel O-ring, each shape securely knotted on 1/4" cotton rope for durability and safety. There's an abundance of softwood (3" trapezoids, ABC blocks, 1 1/2" x 2" squares) and hardwood shapes (1/2" thick stars, knobs, 1 5/16" beads, barrels, wheels). Four hardwood "bells" anchor the bottom, providing nifty hiding spots for the double knots that secure each leg.

How to do a parrot wheelie: Place beak on chunky hardwood wheel rim, apply pressure till there's a crack, make mulch of dislodged wedge, watch those chips fly. Grab new wheel. Repeat. Need a change of pace? Wrap a talon around a paper tube, unravel and shred to bits. Grab another tube. Repeat. Oh joy!

Tiers of softwood (6" x 3/4") are strung on a welded nickel-plated chain, layered between challenging hardwood shapes -- 1 1/4" beads, 2" spools, 2 1/4" wheels, 1 3/4" bean pots. At the bottom, knotted on cotton rope are two big hardwood beads. So many bright and beautiful colors! So much chewing fun! Available in two lengths to fit your cage or your bird.

We've revised this toy to include an even more generous array of shapes and textures. Cascading down from the 6" x 1 1/4" diameter hardwood dowel are ten 1/4" cotton ropes packed with a colorful cascade of chewables. There are hardwood shapes -- two sizes of spools, wheels, pickle barrels, candle cups, knobs, 2" squares, 1/2" thick stars; and softwood shapes -- ABC blocks, 1 3/4" x 1 1/4" rectangles, 3" trapezoids. Not to mention the compressed cardboard cylinders and Phone Cones that are such fun to shred. More than four dozen cotton knots are used to hold this collection in place. At the top, some double-knotted bunches of sisal rope and a perky 1" hardwood bead await parrot browsing. Remarkable!

This creation from the Fowl Play Workshop is a huge hit with medium birds. Timid African Greys seem especially attracted to it. Six 1/4" wide leather strip "legs" hang from bird-safe closed-link plastic chain. Each leg is festooned with krunchy, interesting hardwood shapes. A knot is tied in the leather between each shape, so if one knot is untied, they don't all come crashing down! Comes complete with a Nickel-Plated Wide-Jaw Quick Link for hanging.

A Fun-Filled Classic!

This is the toy that started Fowl Play more than 19 years ago. Don't accept imitations! The medium Lots-O-Knots is a 5" long x 1" diameter hardwood dowel with holes drilled all along it and 1/4" wide leather strips inserted into the holes. We tie lots of knots down the length of the strips and add a leather hanger to top it off. Fowl Play leather is vegetable-tanned, zinc and chromium-free. Lots-O-Knots is also available in Small and Large sizes. Also available as an easy to assemble kit - see next item below.
