Many Birds Love to Play with Empty Spools! They are great to use in your own toy making or as chewie foot toys. These hardwood spools come in sizes that can fit most any bird and are drilled to accept 3/16" and 1/4" cotton rope and both sizes of the leather strips on sale on our Bird Toy Parts page under Leather Parts. The mini spools we presently have in stock will only fit our 1/8" leather strips. You get five spools in each pack.

Birds go crazy for these cardboard tubes that are thicker and more tightly compressed than the standard chewie tube. Extremely hard! Really great when you are on the phone (hence the name) or if you just need some quiet time. Made of recycled paper, light gray in color, not bleached or dyed, 5 or 20 Cones per package. We've been selling these cones for over a decade to rave reviews.

Our regular Short Cuts are small (1 1/4" long x 7/8" diameter) compressed paper tubes made of recycled paper. These gray embossed paper cylinders (not bleached or dyed) are known to be just the thing for curious beaks looking for a good chew. Typically, birds pick up a Short Cut with their foot, pry away until they loosen an edge, then shred the cylinder layer by layer. This process takes some time and focuses attention away from negative behaviors like over-preening. There are a pproximately 140 Short Cuts to a pound, so they are a great value and still a customer favorite after more than a decade. Not sure? Try a trial size of 10 for only $1.
